Since WordPress was first introduced to the world, it has become an international phenomenon. WordPress communities can be found all over the world, and care a great place for people to meet and grow their WordPress knowledge together. The list of countries is constantly expanding, appearing everywhere from Vancouver to Greece to South Africa and even Buenos Aires.
These groups help spread WordPress knowledge locally and abroad, as many have annual Wordcamps with international audiences. WordPress has become a universal language online for users no matter what country they live. These WordPress communities are constantly updating and expanding with new members and new ideas.
1) WordPress Norway
Norway has one of the fastest growing WordPress communities, with over five hundred members that meet once a month. Monthly meetups take place in Oslo, Bergen, and Stavanger and attract a wide variety of nationalities and WordPress enthusiasts. There is a mix of beginners, small businesses, developers, and large companies supporting the growth of WordPress in Norway.

On the 7-8 of February 2015, the WordPress community in Norway will gather in Oslo for WordCamp Norway.
2) WordPress Cape Town
WordPress Cape Town is a more established WordPress group which as hosted an annual wordcamp since 2011. Several hundred people are a part of this WordPress community, which meets at least once a month across Cape Town. The community also ventured into hosting events for charity, including building websites and hackathons.

3) WordPress Singapore
WordPress Singapore has been around for several years, and organized a word camp back in 2011. Monthly meetups include both technical and nontechnical attendees. However, there is a real need for more technical WordPress users, as WordPress continues to expand in Singapore.

4) WP Serbia
WP Serbia is the main WordPress community in Belgrade which can been active since 2013. Monthly meetups generate large groups of WordPress enthusiasts from developers to beginners and small businesses for great networking and seminars. WP Serbia also helps grow the WordPress community with a job board where people can post and apply for WordPress related jobs.

5) WordPress Francophone
WordPress Francophone is a community for all French speaking WordPress users. The nonprofit organization hosts annual wordcamps with monthly meetup for smaller groups to host events. The main communities are in Paris, Lyon, Nantes, and Bordeaux.

6) WordPress Poland
WordPress Polska hosted their first wordcamp back in 2011, with monthly meetups happening in eight cities across the country. Wordpress lovers from developers to designers to beginners and beyond will meet in small groups to teach and learn more about WordPress. WordPress Polska has a great variety of developers and other WordPress users, so the several hundred members is constantly increasing.

7) Brussels WordPress
Belgium has a rapidly growing WordPress community in Brussels ever since 2013, and recently added Antwerp meetups last year. A Belgium WordCamp is in the works, with a few hundred members speaking four different languages about WordPress. WordPress users put Belgium on the map after the success of WordCamp Netherlands, proving that even small nation can have loyal WordPress meetups to expand WordPress.

8) WordPress Buenos Aires
Brazil put itself on the WordPress map with WordCamp Argentina in 2007, and now Buenos Aires has a thriving wordpress community. The city’s first wordcamp happened in 2015, although WordPress users in South America are few and far between. WordPress users attend loyal meetups each month in Buenos Aires, growing the WordPress members each month.

9) WordPress Vancouver
Started in 2011, the main WordPress community in Canada is in Vancouver. The group has over fifteen hundred members with meetups split between developers, general and users. WordPress Vancouver is dedicated to growing local WordPress communities with workshops and other outreach efforts across the country.

10) WordPress Cairo
WordPress Cairo first got started in 2014, with successful meetups happening throughout 2015. An estimated fifty thousand people use WordPress in Egypt, and it’s the main platform used by most businesses. However, the majority of WordPress users are beginners or first time developers, so networking is a main focus to grow WordPress in Egypt.
